The Southern Ocean Birding Group sponsors an osprey platform with Conserve Wildlife New Jersey. Our platform is located on Great Bay Boulevard, Tuckerton, New Jersey.
Member Dave Yorkanis went along with members of Conserve Wildlife’s Osprey Project, led by Ben Wurst, to Great Bay Boulevard in winter of 2014 to replace our platform. Here are some photos from that effort. In 2013 our platform fledged three osprey chicks. In 2015 we fledged one chick at our platform on Great Bay Blvd., Tuckerton. Five years of success.
