Our March meeting will feature Bailey Sanders, who is Stewardship Specialist of the Barnegat Bay Partnership & Jersey-Friendly Yard program. We will embark on an avian adventure with this enlightening presentation, centered on crafting bird-friendly habitats through the thoughtful utilization of native plants in New Jersey. Attendees will discover the pivotal role that indigenous flora plays in attracting and sustaining a diverse array of bird species. Bailey will delve into the specific plant species that cater to the needs of New Jersey’s feathered inhabitants, expanding on how such landscapes can serve as vital foraging areas, as well as how to make your yard a little more “Jersey-Friendly”.
The meeting starts at 7PM at the Ocean County Library Lacey Branch (10 E Lacey Rd, Forked River, NJ 08731). Doors open by 6:30PM.
